DANCE BARS - A LICENSE TO OBSENCE PICS.

The present Dance bar case has given the print and visual media a lot to talk about. But instead of talking about the issue rather the media has started to show the same. How many of young Indians had actually how a dance bar looks from the interior and how does the dancers perfom ? The answer is obivously very less, but thanks to present media all the leading newspapers , TV channels and magazines published the inside of the dance bars to such an extent that now every body knows what goes inside a dance bar. If at all these places get permission to be functional again they are going to get a higher and much higher business then before as people now are more eager then ever to see the same. Further its almost been an year now if at all the Bars girls can survive a year on some other work they don't need to come back to the floor & if still they do we know what for.

The media has used all the possible ways of printing & telecasting obsence material in such a manner that they escape on legal grounds. They never consider the moral grounds. The whole country reads newspapers & watches news channels but not everyone goes to a dance bar so how the media justify their act.

JHALAK DIKH LA JA . . .

Kolhapur City rocked to the tunes of Bollywood Misal on 14th May. A never before kind of event at Kolhapur got a great response from the audience. Though the lead performer Udita Goswami was on stage for 15 min in the almost 3 hours of show, other performers stole the hearts of
Kolhapurkars. Vinit the star singer with his enchanting voice took the initiative to rock the show. His songs were felt rather then heard. Also Vinit came up with a story that of his girl friend which later he disclosed is no one. From making people to sing to the tunes he also got them on their feet. Then came Sanober with a mystic voice , cute & bubbly looks saying "Kolhapur cha nad khula" the local one liner for the city. She made people dance & tap & shout & play. Rocking the event with beautiful dance and eloquting sound Sanober stole away the show. The anchor for the show and stand-up comedian Sanjay Keni said this was one of the most wonderful of show he has seen at Kolhapur. Sanjay had been to Kolhapur twice before this event. He also did his part beautifully that of an anchor and also that of a Stand-up Comedian.

Some other highlights of the event were presence of both Muna Mahadhik & Maloji Raje at the event, though they just exchanged a glance & sat seprately. The number of photographers that went near the stage when udita appeared for the first item. The people looking towards opposite of the direction of stage when some people behind started to dance with Sanober. The marvelous lighting effects used on stage & many more.

Talking about the success of the event Kavita Ghatge of Pearl events said that though the turnout was not as much as we expected but still the crowd was good & they enjoyed the show. Pearl Events plan to host another big show of this kind at Kolhapur pretty soon. When asked about the performers in the next event Kavita smiled and said "wait and watch."

CLIMATE THIS WEEK

Kolhapur these days has been witnessing a very unusual weather. The city as like the country is in mid-summer and has marked very heavy tempratures. But from past few days sky has turned cloudy though it has not made much decrease in the heat. A little bit of scanty rainfall did bring twinkle in the eyes of Kids who are on vacations but these drops coundn't quech the thrist of the high temprature. The sky everyday coupled withwindflow suggest the coming of Rain & giving kolhapurkars some relief from the temprature but things are not always as they seem to be. Wunderground.com forcast the temprature to be around 39-41`C in the next five days but also says that the sky will be cloudy and winds as fast as 14kmph will rock the city. This kind of weather causes uncertainty which also affects the work of people. People at kolhapur are also suffering from the Power Cuts by the MSEB and thus have to face serious health issues due to rise in temprature. So a rain shower is what everyone awaits but the Rain God has not yet arrived. The satellite picture just shows scattered clouds over Southern Maharashtra which means even if it rains it will likely be small showers here & there.The alarming thing is the prediction of Winds. Some reports doubt a wind speed of as high as 23kmph to rattle the city. What has affected Kolhapur Weather so badly ? Well guesses are many but answers are few.

BOLLYWOOD MISAL - THE EVENT

Kolhapur is all set to Rock with the event coming up next week. Jhalak Dihla Ja girl Udita Goswami will perform live along with Vineet ( Sa re ga ma pa ) , Sanober Kabir (Meri beri ke ber mat todo) & Sanjay Keni ( Great Indian Laughter Challange ). The show organised by Pearl Events promises to be grand & one of its kind event at Kolhapur. The event is scheduled on 14th of May at Shahu Stadium. Energy Inc manages the promotion of the event. Discusing the expected crowd Mrs.Kavita Ghatge of Pearl Events said "We are confident that 20,000 + people will witness the show." Kolhapur has already started noticing Newspaper Advertising , Cable TV Promotions , Banners , Posters & Holdings with the charming Udita in the main frame. Tickets to the show are available at numerous outlets & will cost your pocket from Rs.125/- to Rs.1000/-. The name of the event 'Bollywood Misal' also has become the talk of the town. People are interested to know how this name came to the organisers mind. The simple analysis say 'Bollywood' for its bollywood stars performing and 'Misal' coz its at Kolhapur but might be the makers have different story to say. Events do happen at Kolhapur but this is one of the biggest ever. After this few more Event organisers are planning to call bollywood stars. Some flying words says a giant organiser is working to bring "Shahrukh Khan" for a show. Come what may Kolhapurkars get a chance to see these people face to face which otherwise only appear on Screen.
