HONDA CIVIC - EXHALIRATING STUFF

Cars are an important factor depecting Kolhapur Life Style. Kolhapur being one of the Highest Per Capita Place in the country its richness is well glorified by the various models of cars owned by the Rich and Famous of the City. Adding another jewel in the four wheeler crown of the city, the much awaited HONDA CIVIC was launched at Riverside Honda the local dealer for HONDA cars. In a well lit show on Sunday Evening at the Showroom, the Company CEO Mr.Indrjeet Konduskar told the guests that so far the company has served more than 900 customers since its opening in March this year. Many renowned personalities attended the show organised by Media Events. "Raw" Dance troupe from Pune performed some excellent dances and glances to the mind-blowing Sound, Light & Laser Show put together by M.B.Entertainments. Also the AVs shown during the lauch were exhalirating. All the information about HONDA Seil and its venture were put together is these Presentations. The guests were given an overview of the 1st to 7th generation of CIVIC. The current 8th Generation was launched in the world market last year and made its debut in India within seven months. Two variants of the car were unveiled by the Dancers while performing. A sheer piece of beauty is what can be said about the Looks of the Car. Also the comfort fittings , the external looks , the agronomic design all add to make CIVIC one of the best cars to touch Indian roads. We think this Civic is a lot more lively to look at than the American model. It has 1800cc i-VTEC motor that puts out a healthy 140bhp, but keeping our fuel in mind, we expect the output to be around the 130bhp mark. If the exteriors look interesting, Honda has really upped the game inside the car, whose long wheelbase holds a promise of roominess. Behind the three-spoke, small diameter steering wheel is a very futuristic, multifunctional display with an electroluminescent tachometer. The display also packs in a digital speedometer and temperature and fuel gauges. You could say, Honda is saying goodbye to the clutter of needles and dials.Attached Images will complete the story. And yes the price well one variant bears an On-road price of Rs.12 Lakh while the other Rs.12.80 Lakh

In his opening lines the host for the show Mr.Vikram Gulvani used the words "INDIA will soon become a Civic country " Well here he meant that the nation will soon be driving and moving in HONDA CIVIC but considering the dictionary meaning, India is yet to become a Civic nation. Kolhapur is no diffrent to this sentence. The roads though seem to be improved from worst to bad still need lots of attention. Kolhapurkars eargely welcome CIVIC in the city but the are the Roads and Road sense of the people good enough for the CAR . . . ?

The Typical Kolhapuri

Welcome to one of the slowest city of the nation. Well we are very proud to be Kolhapuri or Kolhapurkar but still there are quite a few things in Kolhapuri Life Style that need to be changed. This first and foremost thing is that we must be ready to expect change. We must get out of our Rigid Mindset and explore the excitment , the challenges , the glory that change brings. Typically Kolhapur business knows how to make money, but does not know how to spend it. The shops at Kolhapur will open not before 10:30 in the morning. The city virtually stops in the afternoon from 1 to 4. People don't work during this time. The Offices close by 6:30 p.m, The shops will wrap up by 8:00 - 8:30. The bakeries will close down by 10 p.m. The Restaurants close the kitchen by 11 p.m. Thus the city sleeps by 11:30 or so. No Night Life. Well this might seem very odd. But there are quite a few people who make the most of even this. Until recently the Central ST stand had small Tea Stalls and Snacks stalls open all night long. So this was the place Night Lifers used to hang about. But thanks to the Police this place also has been virutally shut off for night.
What we need today is Change a change in Mindset. Well its not that we must go Parting all nights long as the metros. Neither must we start working from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. But still the work attitude must change. We have to become more professional towards our source of earning and more casual with our personal lives.
And yes one important thing KOLHAPUR still continues to be one of the High Per Capita Place in the Country !!! Do we need to change . . . ?
